INFORMATION NOTICE AND CONSENT FORM FOR ALL CUSTOMERS - SOFTBANK WORLD 2024

Information you enter in this form and information obtained in connection with SoftBank World 2024(“SBW”) will be obtained by SoftBank Corp. located at 1-7-1, Kaigan, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

You hereby acknowledge the contents of this INFORMATION NOTICE AND CONSENT FORM by putting a check below.

1.Purpose of use and Categories of Customer Information Collected

The purpose of using Customer Information and categories of Customer Information are as follows.

2.Legal grounds to process Customer Information

SoftBank will process your Customer Information in accordance with applicable personal information protection regulations.
As for the Customer Information marked “required” on the entry form to the SBW, provision of such Customer Information is a requirement necessary to participate in SBW (entering into a contract for participation in SBW with us), and you will not be able to participate in SBW if you do not provide such Customer Information.
Provision of your Customer Information is not the statutory requirement.

3.How long SoftBank keep your Customer Information

SoftBank will only retain your Customer Information as long as there is a statutory or legal requirement to do so or in order that SoftBank are able to meet the above mentioned purposes.
This will usually require us to retain your Customer Information for a set period of time after any relationship has ended for accounts and records purposes, and SoftBank will retain your Customer Information for at least one year.

4.Sources of Customer Information

Softbank obtains your Customer Information from you directly.

5.Cross-Border Transfer of Customer Information

SoftBank will transfer your Customer Information for the purposes explained in Section 1 above to the outside service providers in the United States and Japan.
Upon transferring your Customer Information abroad, SoftBank will take appropriate measures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

6.Use of Cookies

7.Your Rights

SoftBank will respect the rights you hold regarding personal information protection regulations applicable to you.
You may require disclosure of personal information, correction, addition, and elimination of content, suspension and erasure of usage, suspension of provision to third parties, and disclosure of records of provision to third parties in accordance with Japanese laws regarding protection of personal information.
In addition, in personal information protection regulations of each country that will be applied, rights may be granted to customers.

8.Inquiries

Inquiries (including requests for suspension of use, suspension of provision to third parties, deletion, etc., and complaints) regarding the handling of customer information are handled on My Page, which is created after event registration.

ADDENDUM FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE EEA AND THE UK

This addendum is issued to data subjects in the European Economic Area (the “EEA ''), which comprises the Member States of the EU, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein as well as the United Kingdom.
This addendum provides additional information for the data subjects in the EEA, asks additional consent from them, and supersedes Information Notice and Consent Form for All Customers (the “Global Form”), if there is any conflict.

SoftBank process your Customer Information SoftBank collect in relation to SBW in the following manner in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations of EU, EU Member States, in particular, the UK General Data Protection Regulation, and the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (the last two are hereinafter collectively referred to as the “GDPR”).

1.Purposes to process your Customer Information and Legal Grounds for Processing of Customer Information

SoftBank does not process Customer Information for the purposes of (3) through (5) in Section 1 in the Global Form.
SoftBank does not process Customer Information for the benefit of affiliated companies of SoftBank, nor provide or share Customer Information with affiliated companies of SoftBank.
The legal grounds to process your Customer Information are legitimate interests for the purposes described in (1), (2), and (6) in Section 1 in the Global Form and consent for the purposes described in (7) in Section 1 therein.
Please note that your consent to this INFORMATION NOTICE AND CONSENT FORM does not mean that legal grounds to process your Customer Information is consent.

2.Your rights and requests

You have the following rights for your Customer Information SoftBank collect in accordance with the Global Form and this addendum, if the conditions stipulated in GDPR or any other applicable data protection regulations are met:

  • Access to Customer Information: You have the right to be provided full information about your Customer Information.
  • Data correction: You have the right to require that SoftBank and correct any incorrect Customer Information of yours.
  • Data deletion: You may also have the right to ask us to delete your Customer Information.
  • Restriction on processing of Customer Information: You may have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your Customer Information.
  • Object to processing of Customer Information: You may have the right to object to our processing of your Customer Information.
  • Portability of Customer Information: You may have the right to receive your Customer Information in a structured and commonly used format.
  • Right to withdraw consent: If SoftBank process your personal data based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent. However, your withdrawal of consent will not affect the legality of processing conducted based on your consent before its withdrawal.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, you may refuse or withdraw consent to process cookies by using the cookie setting button set in our websites.

In case you are not satisfied with how SoftBank have handled your Customer Information request or how SoftBank and SB C&S obtain/use your data, then you may wish to lodge a complaint by contacting a Data Protection Supervisory Authority here or to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are in the UK.

3.How to contact SoftBank Corp. via their Data Protection Representative

SoftBank Corp., which processes the personal data of individuals in the European Union, European Economic Area and UK, in either the role of 'data controller' or 'data processor', has appointed DataRep as its Data Protection Representative for the purposes of GDPR* in the EU/EEA and The Data Protection Act 2018 / UK GDPR (as amended) in the UK.

If SoftBank Corp. has processed or is processing your personal data, you may be entitled to exercise your rights under GDPR/UK GDPR in respect of that personal data.
